Source status

Authority order

For U.S. status, FDA and other applicable U.S. regulatory evidence has the highest authority. Manufacturer and distributor notices can provide faster operational details and are labeled as pending when FDA classification is not available. Foreign official sources remain jurisdiction-specific. News and community tips can trigger discovery or review but do not become official status.

Freshness and coverage

The ingestion job queries every annual window from January 1, 2004 onward. OpenFDA currently returns no records before its available enforcement history, and those zero-result windows are retained in operational evidence rather than presented as missing records. Package results include an evidence cutoff. Last retrieval: 7/23/2026, 1:39:12 AM.

Missing or conflicting evidence

A missing source is disclosed in coverage rather than inferred away. Material conflicts remain visible and enter review. Submit a missing-source tip through the corrections form only if it can be tied to a public document; tips are quarantined and never publish automatically.
